Nemera and Noble collaboration for training on Safe’n’Sound^® 2.25 ml

As one of the world’s leading providers of design, development and manufacturing of drug delivery devices, we announced the conclusion of a collaboration agreement with Noble, global provider of medical device training solutions and patient onboarding strategies for the world’s top pharmaceutical and biotechnology brands. On this occasion, the latest issue of ‘The Pharmaceutical post’ publish an article about the collaboration between Nemera and Noble.

Drawing on its patient-centred experience in the design and development of molecule delivery systems,Nemera wanted to incorporate patient training with the use of one of its devices. The new agreement concluded last june with Noble specializes in the provision of medical device training solutions for patients and healthcare professionals.

The first product to benefit from this agreement is the Safe’n’Sound® 2.25 ml injection system, a passive safety device accommodating prefilled syringes. “Until recently, the treatment involved by our Safe’n’Sound device was only used intravenously and therefore administered by healthcare professionals, Séverine Duband explains. Its formulation has therefore been reworked to adapt to the subcutaneous route so that patients can self-administer their treatment. Hence, the necessity to come up with a patient training program.” As it is a disposable device – once used, the system is automatically locked – Safe’n’Sound could not be used directly in the training program. This is why Noble will replicate a dummy product which will be as close as possible to the original version, filled with a neutral liquid but without the needle so that the conditions of use are the same as in a real setting, especially as regards the injection force.
