Committed to sustainability
To be able to give stakeholders a holistic view of a business, it is critical to build bridges across different aspects within a company on solid foundations
As the world grapples with climate change, it’s becoming increasingly critical for businesses to measure the impact they make on the environment. Research, studies, experts and most importantly science have made it clear that in order to avoid the worst impacts of climate change and secure a thriving, sustainable economy a lot needs to be done – and faster. Nemera is no exception – through innovation and collective effort we’re working to reduce the environmental impact of the healthcare solutions we bring to patients.
Sandrine Coutarel, Global EHS Director
Success is built with people. This belief is shared by our management and employees alike and is reflected in the fact that Nemera has placed the needs of its patients and employees at the heart of its strategy since the company was founded. Due to the nature of our industrial activities, safety and the quality of working conditions have always been a top priority. Over time, however, as our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) processes have matured, Nemera has broadened its sphere of action to include more global issues, with the fight against climate change at the forefront.
Society
As a responsible actor of the healthcare industry, at Nemera we recognize the importance of ‘giving back’ to the community we operate in. Whether it’s raising awareness of our own employees on worldly, health and safety related issues or supporting organizations and associations that are helping make this world a better place, we are convinced that an effort however small goes a long way. In France, we support four associations through an initiative called ‘microdon’. We also support the organization ‘Sport dans la ville’ whose mission is to integrate young people socially and professionally. We are continuing to grow our efforts across the Nemera sites all over the world.

Our commitment to biodiversity and water protection
Protecting biodiversity and preserving water resources are at the heart of our environmental and sustainable development commitments. Every day, we strive to reduce the impact of our industrial activities on natural ecosystems and to promote responsible practices.
In France, Decree No. 2021-461 of April 16, 2021 requires industrial sites that produce, use or transport industrial plastic pellets (GPI) to implement preventive measures aimed at avoiding any accidental loss of these pellets into the environment.
The regulation also provides for an independent audit to verify each site’s compliance with these requirements, thereby contributing to the protection of ecosystems and surface waters.
The certificates of compliance are now available.
